Cheapest WhatsApp Business API platform: 18 ranked by what you actually pay

List prices checked on August 30, 2026 · Meta’s rates verified on September 8, 2026
For 3 people at US rates, the cheapest in the cloud is Tidio: $102.57 a month

Adding the subscription and what Meta charges per message, Tidio comes to $102.57, ManyChat $107.40 and Wati $108.40. Self-hosted Chatwoot comes to $93.40, but you have to run a server. With 1 person, Kommo; from 2 to 10, Tidio; from 15 up, Zoko.

“Cheapest” here means one thing: the lowest total for your team size, with numbers you can check against each vendor’s pricing page and Meta’s calculator. We do not score features, and the platforms that pay us a commission (Chatwoot Cloud, Tidio and Whaticket) sit wherever their price puts them.

The 18 platforms ranked by total monthly cost

US dollars per month for 3 agents, with the volume of a typical small business: 3,000 marketing messages, 1,000 utility notifications outside the 24-hour window and 1,200 inbound inquiries answered, at Meta’s North America rate. B2Chat is missing because its plan does not allow 3 users.

List prices from each vendor’s official pricing page on August 30, 2026; Meta’s rates from its official pricing calculator on September 8, 2026. “Meta” is $78.40 for everyone (Botmaker adds 20%). “From Oct 1” adds the 1,200 replies that Meta starts billing on October 1, 2026 at the utility rate, $0.0034 each in North America: $4.08 more a month for every platform. Chatwoot Cloud, Tidio and Whaticket pay us a commission if you sign up through our link; the order is decided by cost, never by that.

The cheapest one depends on how many of you there are

Flat-price plans include a set number of users; per-user plans grow with every seat. Same volume, US rates.

What you are buying when you buy a “WhatsApp Business API platform”

Three different things get sold under that name: a shared inbox, so several people can answer the same number from their computers; a CRM with a sales pipeline, which also sorts customers by stage; and a chatbot builder, which answers on its own. Every platform in the table does at least the first, which is what most small businesses need. How well each does the second and the third we have not verified, so we do not score it.

Before you pay: you may not need any of them

The free WhatsApp Business app lets up to five people answer the same number. If you are few, do not run campaigns and do not need to route conversations, that is enough. Chatwoot is the other free route: open source, no license, only a server.

Meta’s fees are the same with every platform

No platform includes Meta’s messages in its price, and none makes them cheaper: with the volume on this page, $78.40 a month goes to Meta whichever platform you pick, and $82.48 from October 1, 2026, when replies start being billed. Botmaker is the only one that adds a markup of its own, 20% on top of Meta’s rates; SleekFlow bills template messages at its own rate card. That is why the ranking is almost always decided by the subscription, and why it pays to look at what Meta charges in your market before looking at platforms.

How to read the ranking

Flat price or per user

With one or two people, per-user plans usually win. With three or more, flat-price plans win until you run out of included users and have to jump a tier. The main table is computed for 3; the team-size table saves you the arithmetic for the others.

The small print weighs more than the list price

Under each platform’s name is what its pricing page does not show in large type: agent minimums, credits billed apart, contact caps, plans that do not include WhatsApp. In several cases that moves a platform several places.

Built for Latin America

Whaticket, Leadsales, Botmaker and Cliengo are built for Spanish-speaking Latin America, with Spanish-first support. They are in the table because their prices are public and comparable, but if your team works in English, check the support language before signing up.

Annual prices and euros

Several prices in the table are annual-billing prices. Try the free period with your real operation before committing to a year: the ranking tells you which is cheapest, not which you will find comfortable. Callbell and Landbot price in euros; their dollar figures are approximate conversions.

The most expensive is not a mistake

Cliengo closes the table at $337.40 a month because its plan that actually includes the WhatsApp API costs that much; cheaper plans on its pricing page do not include it. The same applies to Landbot and ManyChat: the plan you see first is not the one you need.

This page compares costs, which can be checked against primary sources: each vendor’s pricing page on August 30, 2026 and Meta’s pricing documentation. It does not compare features or support. Links to the platforms that pay us a commission go through /ir/ and are declared on cómo nos financiamos (Spanish); the order never depends on that. Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest WhatsApp Business API platform?

Self-hosted Chatwoot, which has no license fee: you pay only the server, about $15 a month, and you need someone to run it. In the cloud, for a 3-person team at US rates and with the volume on this page, Tidio is the cheapest at $102.57 a month including Meta’s fees, followed by ManyChat ($107.40) and Wati ($108.40). With 1 person, Kommo; from 2 to 10, Tidio; from 15 up, Zoko. List prices checked on August 30, 2026.

Does the platform price include WhatsApp’s per-message fees?

No, never. Meta bills each delivered message separately, by category and by the recipient’s market, and the bill is the same whichever platform you use: $78.40 a month in the scenario on this page at US rates. Botmaker is the only one that adds its own 20% markup on top of Meta’s rates. From October 1, 2026, replies inside the 24-hour window are billed too, at the utility rate, which adds $4.08 a month for 1,200 replies at US rates.

Is there a free WhatsApp Business API platform?

Two honest options. The free WhatsApp Business app lets up to five people answer the same number, with no platform at all. And Chatwoot is open source: the self-hosted version has no license fee, only the server you install it on. None of the other platforms in the table has a free plan that includes WhatsApp: Freshchat’s free plan and ManyChat’s Essential plan exclude it.

Which platforms pay you a commission, and does it change the order?

Chatwoot Cloud, Tidio and Whaticket pay us a commission if you sign up through our link (those links go through /ir/ and carry rel=“sponsored”). The order never depends on it: the table is sorted by total monthly cost, computed with the same formula for all 18, and the platforms that pay us appear wherever their price puts them.

How does the ranking change outside the United States?

The subscription is the same everywhere; only Meta’s share changes. With the same volume, Meta’s monthly fees range from $36.80 to $212.50 across the eight English-speaking markets on this page. Because that amount is added to every platform alike, the order does not change from one market to another; the only exception is Botmaker, whose 20% markup grows with Meta’s share. The table “Meta’s share by market” gives the exact figure for each.
